Dr Kamelia Chaichi, SFHEA, is a Lecturer in Business and Management at QMU, Edinburgh, and Programme Leader for the BA (Hons) Business Psychology. She also serves as Convener of the Business, Enterprise and Management Division Research Ethics Committee and Associate Editor of Management and Labour Studies (SAGE Publications).
Before joining academia, Kamelia gained professional experience in sales and marketing. Since 2013, she has taught across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in business, management, hospitality and tourism, combining academic scholarship with industry-informed practice.
Her research focuses on business psychology, human resource management, employee wellbeing, workplace spirituality, employee voice and silence, organisational behaviour, leadership, artificial intelligence in the workplace, and sustainable tourism development. She has published in international peer-reviewed journals and actively contributes to the academic community through editorial, peer-review and research ethics activities.

Dr Chaichi's research explores the intersection of human resource management, organisational behaviour, consumer behaviour and hospitality and tourism management. Her work focuses on understanding employee experiences, wellbeing, leadership, workplace relationships and organisational outcomes.
She has conducted both quantitative and qualitative research across a variety of sectors and international contexts. Her recent research examines workplace spirituality, employee wellbeing, employee voice and silence, leadership, organisational change, consumer experiences, sustainable tourism development and destination management.
She is particularly interested in how organisations can create supportive, psychologically safe and sustainable working environments while enhancing employee wellbeing, engagement and organisational performance.

Dr Chaichi teaches across a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in business, management, business psychology, hospitality and tourism. Her teaching expertise includes leadership, organisational behaviour, human resource management, consumer behaviour, sustainability, tourism management and change management.
She adopts a student-centred approach to learning and teaching, encouraging critical thinking, reflective practice and the application of theory to real-world organisational challenges. Her teaching philosophy is informed by both academic scholarship and industry experience, creating an engaging learning environment that supports student development and employability.
As Programme Leader for BA (Hons) Business Psychology, she is responsible for programme development, curriculum enhancement, quality assurance, and support for the student learning experience. She also supervises undergraduate and postgraduate research projects and contributes to research ethics governance within the university.
